Side Dishes

Parmesan-Roasted Broccoli
This is one of our favorite side dishes, we try to make it whenever possible!

Ingredients

2-3 stocks of broccoli
4 cloves of garlic
Olive oil
Ground black pepper
Salt
2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Cut the broccoli florets from the stalks, leaving about an inch of stalk attached to the florets. Put the broccoli in a medium sized bowl. Toss the garlic with the broccoli and drizzle with about 5 tablespoons of olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Transfer to a sheet pan and put in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Broccoli should be a little crisp and tender, and slightly browned.

Remove from the oven and toss with 1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice zest, lemon juice, and Parmesan.

Serve hot, ENJOY!

Brewski Onions

This is a super fast and easy side dish. It tastes delicious on its own, and even better on burgers and steak!

Ingredients

1 large yellow onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
A dark beer

Heat up the oil in a skillet. Once the oil is hot add in the onions. Cook the onions until they are soft and slightly translucent. Add in about 1/2 cup of beer, the rest is all yours! Let the onions simmer until the beer has evaporated.

ENJOY!
